Making a Claim: A Clear Guide to the Process

International Private Healthcare Claims

To ensure a smooth experience, the claims process depends on the type of treatment you are claiming for.

In-Patient Treatment (including surgery and emergencies)

For in-patient care, we can often arrange direct payment to the hospital, so you can focus on your recovery.

  1. Contact Your Medical Advisor First: Before admission (or immediately afterwards in an emergency), please contact the Medical Advisor named in your policy documents. Pre-authorisation is required for all in-patient treatment and emergency medical transportation.
  2. Have Your Details Ready: When you speak to your Medical Advisor, please have the following information ready:
    a) The name of the treating hospital and physician.
    b) The condition or reason for treatment.

Out-Patient Treatment (e.g., consultations, tests)

For out-patient treatment, you are required to pay the healthcare provider first and then claim reimbursement.

  1. Pay the Bill: Settle the bill with your healthcare provider directly.
  2. Submit Your Claim: To be reimbursed, please submit your claim to our dedicated administrators, International Claims Management Services (ICMS).
    • How to Submit: Fully complete the official claim form and send it to ICMS along with the original bills and receipts.
    • Deadline: Please ensure your claim is submitted within 90 days of the first day of treatment.
    • Completing the Form: The first two pages are for you, the policyholder, to complete. The third page must be completed and signed by your treating physician.
